So. It was in the news that Air Canada employees might go on strike shortly before I'm scheduled to leave the country.

I am Not Pleased about this, obviously.

Mum and I discussed it... we figured that for now, what we'll do is go up to the airport, have a talk with someone, and see how to proceed. We might be able to move my flight up a few days to avoid the strike, but it really depends on a few things. ... And switching to another airline would be difficult and most likely prohibitively expensive, so.

Man. Sometimes it seems like I can't get excited about something without something going wrong. :| But hopefully this will turn out okay.

Damn, that's really frustrating. :/ I hope you'll find a way around it. Good thing there is still time to think of something, it's always the worst when stuff like that comes up at the last moment.

We managed to get things changed around! \o/ This means I'll be arriving in Stockholm a week earlier than expected, but I certainly don't have any complaints about that. My friend will be working during the daytime, but that's fine with me, because I'll be able to enjoy having peace and quiet to write and study in, which I don't get at home at all.

I'm still kind of freaked out, but now it seems like everything will be okay. <3
