So, guess what came in the mail today.



I normally don't collect anime/manga merch. I mean, where am I going to put it? And what happens when I lose interest in such-and-such series? But I really wanted one from this set and... aw, hell. It's not like it'd take up much room. So. Fortunately for me, chinomi bought the whole set and didn't mind splitting them up, so I didn't need to muck around arranging deals with people I don't know.

Today was absolutely awful, but getting that package really cheered me up. :)a ... Not that there was anything wrong today. It was just one of those days when I get up and somehow EVERYTHING SUCKS. Man, I hate days like that. But I went downtown, mucked around there, bought a new sweater and lounged in the cafe for a while, and then I came home to this, and everything's wonderful now. Yeah.

Holy shit, it's precisely two weeks until I leave. Ahhhhhh oh, man. I'm gettin' kind of fidgety here. Been running around doing some things that I need to get done before leaving. Picking up things like extra memory cards for my camera, plug adapter, miscellaneous travel-related sundries, that kind of thing. ... And a few things I don't really need per se, like a new autumn coat. (Then again, my old one is looking pretty shabby. Maybe I could do with one more than I would like to admit.) I think I have almost everything, so it's just a matter of getting the suitcase out of the basement. Even just thinking about it makes my guts flip. OH MAN.

In other news, the temperature dropped dramatically overnight, and there was frost on the ground when I woke up. Today was super-chilly and I'm not sure whether to be happy about it or not! On the one hand, I can't stand warm weather, and I love autumn. On the other, autumns this far north are quite short, and there's hardly enough time to enjoy it properly before we get snow and cold and arrrgh so many things that I don't like.
