I've been tweaking this FST for about a year. Recently I came back to it, and decided to call it finished.

Originally, it was meant to accompany a long fic about the 19th-century union of Sweden and Norway. That project was scrapped, but I might try writing it again some day.

Ah, that's great! Fanworks about the relationship of those two are so rare and I've been hoping someone shares song recs for them for ages. It's an interesting time period you've chosen and I love how the lyrics reflect constant changes they have been going through.

This period for these two is just, oh man. There's just something about it that I find so interesting and I keep coming back to it in writing and roleplaying and other things. I'm just drawn to it somehow.

BTW, I read that headcanon you posted related to these two the other day. I will more likely than not comment on it soon -- I'm still digesting/thinking about it at the moment.

I know right! My interest in Norwegian history (and Norway himself) basically started with this union and I can never do enough research on it or have enough headcanon - and it doesn't help that the topic is so widely discussed in historical studies. So if I ever get to ramble about 1814-1905, it will probably take forever and then some. 8D

Well, if you find the time I'll be more than happy to discuss Sweden|Norway history and relationship. Because while writing embarassingly long posts is fun, nothing beats exchanging thoughts and headcanons with others. ^^
