Man, the last few days, I've felt so goddamn overstimulated. I don't understand, and it's making it hard to get anything done. :| Really, I am not impressed, not one little bit.

HOWEVER. On the upside, today was a lot better in terms of weather than the rest of the week has been. It was only around -6C, woohoo! Warm enough that I could go out in just a sweater, and not freeze to death. Yessss. Now, this is something I could get used to. Forecast for tomorrow is much the same, and I fully plan to exploit it. Gonna' walk downtown, maybe go to the White Cat. Not that I need any more books, but sometimes they have really good stuff, and I need to go to the bank anyway, and it's right on the same street.

I went to see "The Princess and the Frog" on Friday afternoon. I'd planned to go in the evening, but much to my surprise there was a 3:30 showing, so I opted for that. I figured that it would not be very busy because most of the kiddies would be just getting out of school at that hour, and I was right; the theatre was almost empty, and the kids that were there were very quiet. Anyway, as for the film itself - I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I try not to get excited for things like this because I don't want to end up disappointed, so when I go in I just tend to hope for something that's "okay". But I really liked this. Soooo there we go.

I found out this evening that my brother is getting another dog. :| I am not pleased. He has barely trained the puppy that he already has, and he doesn't really have the space for two animals. And why would someone want two animals to take care of when they work as many hours as this guy does? I don't even get it, man. :|

On a fandom-related note, man, it's such a pain in the butt to keep up with indexing. Prompts have only been open for a few days and already there was a shitload of them. I'm glad I've resolved to update it every week, otherwise I'd so fall behind. Saw maybe one or two that I would want to write, but we'll see. Mostly I want to work on something that I started a few days ago. It'll be a long one, that one, and I don't know how it'll turn out.

A couple of days ago, I went and checked out the new part on the kink meme, just out of curiousity, expecting about maybe 5 pages of requests and phwoar, there were 20 pages already. I went through about maybe 5 pages before getting bored and giving up.

I can't imagine trying to keep up with the meme to archive it. Once in a while I ponder doing something for America or maybe Italy but then I look at the sheer amount of work it would take and go LOL...no...and move on to something else...so I admire you greatly for what you do. :-)

Haha, it's actually not as much work as one might think, since the Baltics don't get that many requests compared to other groups. But it's still a pain in the butt sometimes, especially because a lot of people don't know how to summarize their tl;dr requests. ;p

I actually had the crazy thought this morning to try and tackle an America one but...yeah the sheer amount of America requests and the fact that I already don't have enough hours in the day to get what I want to get done, done makes that unlikely... ;-) Even if you take out the USUK ones because there's already a good up-to-date list for those there's still a ton of them.

It got warmer here too! I think we may or may not have gotten a chinook last week but either way, it was actually 6-8ºC a few days ago! It felt like a tropical paradise, man.

I was actually wondering that too after watching PATF, and it's kind of making me hesitant about watching it again. I don't want to watch it again to find that it was only just okay D: Also there's like 5000 other movies I have to watch before I can think of re-watching PATF (I still haven't seen Avatar yet what is this)

Mostly I'm wondering if I'm not being critical enough, and if I saw it again, would I start to criticize... On the other hand (and maybe it makes me a bad person, I dunno) I tend not to bother picking things apart, so maybe not.
I don't plan to see Avatar, but I'll probably be seeing Sherlock sometime this week. Haven't read the source material yet, but oh well~

Requests thought on the spot - yes, I think that too. And it's kind of frustrating because I do try to put thought into things and get the wording right and -- well, oh well. None of my beeswax I guess.
And there's nothing wrong with requesting even if you don't fill, I think. The key is to just... request infrequently, and actually think about what you're requesting.

I don't pick things apart if I think they're just good fun. If it's enjoyable, it's good enough for me. aaand this is why my list of favourite movies is filled with movies like Army Of Darkness or Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure pff
I was never really interested in Avatar but it just seems like one of those movies I SHOULD see, so there you have it. sherlock holmes is another one I need to see as well but I really have no idea when I'll be able to do that.

With me it depends on what it is. A film like that? Nah. But when it comes to literature, if I can poke at it for hours and still love it after that, then that's when I say, "Okay, yeah, this is awesome".
... But usually I don't poke at things much. Especially with stuff like trashy fantasy novels (I fucking love trashy fantasy novels)
NGL, I kind of want to see Avatar purely for the visuals, but I haven't heard anyone say anything good about the plot (apparently it + the characterization = very thin) so I must just wait and not bother paying to see it.

On the whole, I don't mind books being changed into movies; generally I appreciate them as separate things, and like them both. Or sometimes I like the film version more (I much prefer the film version of Coraline to the novella version for example).

Man, I hate it when you get a million people saying they want something, and it doesn't happen. What was the request, by the way?
Also, UGH FUCKING GANGBANG REQUESTS. JUST LET IT DIE ALREADY.
