Waaaah, my house is so warm. What's up with this... I really wish I could control the heat in this apartment. As it is, the radiator shuts on and off automatically depending on the temperature of the room (I think?) so there isn't much I can do about it. So sometimes it's too chilly and I have to wear a sweater, and sometimes it's far too warm and I end up all annoyed. Argh.
Tomorrow is the last day I have to work on my essay. Argh. Well, I hope to do my best. I am going to try to get to the school around 10 or so, I think, and work until the afternoon. There is something I want to go to in the late afternoon; Peter Robinson of the Canterbury Tales Project will be at the school to give a talk. From what I remember, it seems the university is putting up potential bids to bring in a new professor, and Robinson is one of the three possibilities. The other two are from the Sciences, I think, so our department doesn't have a lot of chance... Literature can't really compete with sciences. Still, it's cool that he'll be here at least for a little while, considering he's such a big name.
I found out that Tikula finally received my package. I'm really pleased, because it means I can stop worrying about it. I was afraid it'd get lost in the mail or something. In any case, she seems very happy about it all. Tik-tak, my love, you'll have to tell me what you think of the books when you're finished reading them.
The package had a drabble in it, and now that she received it, I can finally post it. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow, or the day after, depending. I had three people I was sending one-page fics to; each person got a different one, with a different pairing. Tik was the last one to receive hers. Thought it was just a neat little thing. One of the cool things, I think, is that each version is different. I have the paper-versions, and each person has their own copy of their story, and then the electronic version that I'll post will be different too. At least this gives me something to post, now - I haven't had the chance to post anything in ages, as I haven't had time to write anything.
UGHHHH Sundays are such lazy days! I'm exhausted, and it's only 11 PM. I'm craving coffee, too... Maybe I'll just make a nice, hot cup of herbal tea, and then go to bed after that. Sigh. I need to sleep well, so I can do work on my essay tomorrow. It should have been done today, but I just couldn't get into it. Sundays, man. Sundays and homework do not mix.

Date: 2009-11-02 05:37 am (UTC)as of late i've become more aware of what i think society would call my "masculine" tendencies. (though we won't get into 'what girls can't be manly etc etc')
i find it funny.

Date: 2009-11-02 08:01 am (UTC)Posting drabbles to each person then posting a different version online is a really nice idea. I like it~
Just passing through.
