I feel a bit better today

Today was pretty okay! This might have something to do with the fact that I had medieval class today. I swear, every time I have that class, I just fall more in love with my prof. ;~; She's just so awesome. A choice quote, from this morning, on the practise of writing by hand:

"It's easier to balance a large bowl of chocolate ice cream in your lap if you're writing by hand. Only need one hand. I can shove things in my face with the other."

and then another:

"People apologize to me for their awful handwriting. I can read medieval manuscripts. ...I can read your writing."

Today was a crash-course on medieval English literary culture and also a bit of codicology. And next week? We're taking a look at Beowulf, hot damn. Ahhhhh I love this class so much. And I love this prof so much. And I was going to write a big long happy-rant about it all, but it's getting late and I need to go to bed soonish.

Anyway. The rest of the (school) day was unremarkable. I went to the film screening for class, and found that The Searchers, while not a bad movie exactly, is... very dated. And not in a good way. Blech. Well, at least I'm not the one who has to present on it. That is taken care of, certainly. Speaking of projects, argh, this reminds me I need to get working on them... especially the medieval one; that will be a lot of work. Sigh. OH WELL. This is what school is aboot, certainly.

I'm feeling a bit better today - certainly better than I was feeling yesterday, at any rate. I did slip into a bit of melancholia this afternoon, but managed to pull myself out of it. I have a feeling that soon I'll be doing much better. <3 I intend to walk home from school as much as I possibly can while the weather is good. I would walk to school as well, but in those cases, I might end up late. ;p

On a side-note, I wrote something tonight; the thing I had wanted to write yesterday, but could not. Sweden/Norway, short, 13+: Bide Thee, Night

SO JEALOUS OF YOUR CLASS. *_* Haha it's true, though, no one's handwriting looks THAT bad after you've stared at Merovingian or chancery script...

MY CLASS IS AWESOME. And ughhh. My handwriting is horrible, but it doesn't hold a candle to the chickenscratch of manuscripts, let me tell you internet.
