Archaeologists to scale cliffs to investigate the castle of Old Wick

I am in an absolutely foul mood. I have been all day, except for briefly in the early afternoon when I was talking to a certain person. Aside from that I've just been all, UGH. RAGE. HATE. GRUMBLEMUTTERTWITCH.

I've thought on this matter and the only thing I can determine is that there is no solid reason for it. So, I must conclude that I'm just having One Of Those Weeks. It's possible that it has something to do with the change in seasons. It's cloudy, grey, cold and gross. School is on. It'll be winter soon (that's reason enough to be cranky). Et cetera. Seems perfectly logical to me. However, going around constantly bitchy isn't exactly a good thing, so I hope this mood passes soon.

Consider this a PSA, then. If it seems I've been ignoring you/your comments/not wanting to talk, it's because I've been pissy and I do not want my bad mood to pass on. :|

Tomorrow I have class until 5 PM. NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. It's because on Tuesdays I have screenings for the Film class. Sigh. I made some cookies this weekend, so I think I will bring them to share - gods know I can't eat a whole batch myself. Anyway, this week it is The Searchers. I haven't seen it before, but my father has, and he likes it... but to be honest, I'm neither a fan of John Wayne nor Western films in general. I like watching them with my father, but that's more because it's... well, with my father. Sigh. Anyway, the novel was unremarkable as well. So, this should prove to be a rather dull screening. :|

I have an idea for a fic (yes, another one) but I think I will leave it go until tomorrow. I'm so grouchy right now that there is absolutely no way that I'd be able to write anything good.

I have six hours of breakless class tomorrow and watched the MOST BORING MOVIE EVER at today's film screening. Movies about Scipio and Hannibal and dudes on elephants should not be boring, but there you go.

Here's hoping this doesn't turn into One Of Those Weeks, bud. And channel your rage into something productive like creativity or telling people to go to bed. &hearts

I DON'T EVEN KNOW MAN

I MEAN MUSSOLINI THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY GREAT APPARENTLY

FUCK YOU MUSSOLINI

It was also not subtitled but dubbed over in English, rendering it paradoxically less comprehensible than if I could read the (boring) dialogue. People walked out of the screening, Yuu. People are jerks. :|

Speaking of...I should be in bed.
Buggerall.

This was one of the more dramatic parts:

Hey. Shut up. You're not my dad.
G'night.

The weather's getting worse here too (although amazingly it hasn't rained too much yet). :( I hope you feel better soon! <3

aopsdiaposdfi That sounds like an archaeology adventure novel! I would be so terrified to be that archaeologist, but at the same time absolutely thrilled. Eeee~ I've been wanting to learn scuba or rock/ice climbing just for such occasions (ohmygoodness, I skimmed through one of my books and caught mention of the site in Greeland that the prof I want to research under is working at--aodsiadi I really want to ice climb in Greeland, okay!). Most of our daily jobs are boring as fuck (unless getting to drive a backhoe and wearing a construction hat is considered exciting), but thiiiiis. I'm curious as to how they'd go about the actual conservation work if just scaling the cliff for survey is so dangerous. Seems like it would have to be a massive undertaking if they're really wanting to save that wall. I know the required cost and manpower for upkeep and restoration of artifacts/architecture/whatnots is a pretty big issue.

I'm sorry you've been in such a horrible mood. =\ I wish I could help, but well--I'm not so great, I guess. Um, I'm going to try and make your cookies this weekend while I have the house to myself though! I'd love to just send you the bag of m&m's, but they'd never make it. I'm hoping even if they melt slightly down here, the cookie form will get them to you mostly intact. And hopefully edible too ;o; I hope you get to feeling better soon though~ *squeeze* ♥ (orz, I just realized you made cookies. *facedesk* I'm terribly sorry if you end up with an overload of cookies, but I don't know how else to get you the coconut m&m's! I'd wait, but I'm worried even with my giant sticky "DO NOT EAT!!" note on them, dad someone is going to eat them ;~; )

My father likes John Wayne and Westerns, and I still can't seem to sit down and watch any with him. Why yes, I just might be a horrible daughter. I dunno. :| I try, but I know I once watched one and got really irritated by the treatment of the female characters. I can't even remember exactly which movie it was or what happened; I just distinctly remember myself getting very worked up over it. Huh. I'd go back and give it another chance, but I'm not at all fond of John Wayne's stoicism and manner of speaking. I'M SORRY, DAD.

I-I've actually got some fic thoughts floating about. ;~; ;~; ;~; It's terrible. What are you guys doing to me!? /o\ Er, anyway, hopefully you'll feel better soon enough to tackle your fic ideas and get something done! ♥

Dude, Nazis might not be everywhere, but the meme would certainly make a person think communists are out lurking behind every corner! Okay, not really, I'm just pretending to be a stereotypical American going on about communism left and right. *facedesk* Laughing it off is the only way I can not go crazy over how seriously some people take it out here. Obama isn't the new Hitler regime! Calm down! Okay, so I like Obama because he wields lightsabers and that's just so fucking cool and adorable, but that's not the only reason :| :|

WHAT ABOUT ME AND GREENLAND!? :| :| :| Actually, I'm not too particularly obsessed with Greenland. I just think it looks pretty. See.

Otherwise, uh, yeah, not too sure there's much out there. Truthfully I really can't decide where up there I really want to study. Arctic Norway sounds delightful, but I think I'll probably end up flowing with whatever I can. I don't want to be so picky I close doors just yet. Aside from all of it sounding absolutely wonderful in the first place. IcelandNorwaySwedenFinlandGreenlandaaaaah~~~. Not to mention all the islands. I think northern England and Ireland get tossed in as well. Along with some eastern parts of Canada I have geo!fail on. Doh. Look at me, you got me babbling. :|

Mmmm~ *squeeze* Why not cut the recipe in half then? I mean, sure you wouldn't be using a whole bag of chocolate chips, but you just roll the leftovers back up in the bag and save them for when you want cookies again. Chocolate chips keep for some time. (I like pulling the bag down for peanut butter sandwiches, or ya know, just to munch on a handful.) Seems you wouldn't have to run to the store for chips on the occasion you find you want cookies but don't have any. Or something. There's some kind of logic here I'm failing to get across. Alas, I am no Vulcan.

As for sending the bag, I don't know. I was mostly worried about them melting. I don't know if the postal facility would be kept cool enough 'round here. We're still averaging around 30C and higher. Today was only 25 or so, but that was with a cold front. I've been home when packages were delivered and without sitting on the porch you could still feel they'd gotten pretty hot. Hmmm. They still have the mini bags of coconut ones though, I think. I suppose I could send both cookies and the candy and see which survives?

Stoic douche, eh? I dunno. Maybe if I were tipsy it'd be amusing. I always felt his movies fell into the bracket of movies that weren't so bad they were funny. Scorpion King was just awful, but I found myself endlessly amused because it really was just that bad.

YOU COULDN'T HAVE THEM EVEN IF YOU WANTED THEM. SO THERE. :| Er, not quite, I'd squee about them undoubtedly, but I dunno. Once things calm down and I get some research reading done, I might actually try to write something. oh lawd. Probably not, but I do have some cards up my sleeve if I could just find the time and will to putter about with them! adfpoasdifasodfi wtf am I saying I can't write
