Today was SO MUCH BETTER than the rest of my week has been.
To start off, when I woke up, I felt REALLY GREAT because my nose was only a little bit stuffed. I still have a cold, mind you, but it's much better than it was before. I think it's because I switched medicines - this one is a lot stronger.
Anyway, I DID end up going downtown. Eeeee, I'm so happy. I really really really needed some alone time. REALLY REALLY. And I got it. I didn't really go anywhere interesting, but I did buy Keane's most recent CD (which is proving to be pretty good so far). Then I went down to Coco Jo's to do some writing. I got a couple of pages of a Can/Nor story written, and I found an Est/Fin story that I had started to write but had forgotten about. Soooo, I have that to work on!
Good lord, though, the prices at Coco Jo's have gone up, it seems. Bloody ridiculous prices there, nothing like the Roastery. Even more expensive than the Coffee Merchant in Wolfville, come to think of it. Also, they changed around everything; instead of having a comfy cafe atmosphere, they have all these tiny tables with flower centrepieces on them. I think they want to discourage people from camping out there, or something. Nn. Not so great. But whatever, at least I got some writing done.
Other than that, not much happened. Mum booked my flight back to Stoon; it's on the 26th, which is later than I would like, but at least it's done. No doubt before I leave I'll be dragged around to 902395 tiny little nowhere towns. But, such is life~

Date: 2009-07-17 04:48 pm (UTC)If I pay $5 for a coffee, they can damn well expect me to camp out all day. Hell, I paid $2 for this tea and won't leave the Wired Monk for a good two hours. Oh yes, I'm that person.

Date: 2009-07-17 10:41 pm (UTC)That's a travesty! D: I loved the Coffee Merchant just the way it was. It was so excellent, and I loved their fancy coffee drinks, and jesus, the prices were horrible enough to begin with!
Ugh. Just, GAHHHHH.
