Going on semi-hiatus from now until around July 27th. I don't know precisely how much time I will have to hang around, so there we are. At around 10 AM today I'll be flying down to Fort McMurray, and I'm not sure which day I'll be coming back. For those who have sent me mail: Don't worry, I haven't had any problems receiving things here, and my neighbours have agreed to shove letters under my door if they see the mailbox piling up. Also, the post office holds packages for 15 days, which is surely enough time. I'll definitely be back by then.
I'm going to be taking my letter-writing paper with me (unfortunately, can't take the liquid inks) so I might send some of you a letter while I'm away, though by the time it reaches you I will probably already be back in Saskatoon, hah. I have a few addresses, but if I don't have yours and you'd like a letter, PM me your address. Yes.
Many thanks to all who wished me a happy birthday. It's only been the 10th for four hours here, but already I feel very loved. ♥
Now that I'm thinking of it - I'm very sorry that I have been so behind on doing FList comments recently; things have been kind of... well they've been very... *flail* Well, you know.
It's very late, but I can't sleep. That's all right. I just took a very nice bubble bath (used Lush's 'Ma Bar' - mmm, toffee-scented) and read some of Ibsen's The Wild Duck in the tub. Very lovely and relaxing. I was worried the steam might unglue the volume - it really is a very cheap old paperback, and I'm surprised it isn't falling apart - but fortunately it didn't. I'm going to take a short nap before waking up again to do further packing. I always pack at the last minute... then again, I don't really need to pack much for this trip. Really, I need to tidy up the house more than I need to pack, I think. Wash the dishes, drink the last of the milk, take out the garbage, that sort of thing.
I'm not looking forward to taking the bus to the airport. It is such a pain in the ass when you have a suitcase. Of course I have to take the large one, as I have no idea where my small one is - I suspect it's at my parents' house. Hmph. Why on earth it would be there, I do not know, but there you have it; there isn't anywhere in this little apartment that it could be hiding. Ah, well, no matter - it's just one of those little things to grumble about.
And that's that.
Note to self: Charge iPod before leaving, and for the love of the gods, don't forget your camera and charger.
[edit 5:15 PM] Arrived in Fort McMurray alive and in one piece. Don't know if I'll be around tonight. Going to see a movie with the parents. Yay?
