omggg what a pretty icon ;u; did you make it? now I'm jealous and want some icons from this show too, heh!

Anyway, yes, I also think the ending is so good and -- like you said earlier -- so satisfying, that second season would either have to bring something new with it and be awesome, or there's no sense in having it at all.

Though the story should be longer! Not only filled with murders of the week; there's also quite a few things I'd love to see explored further. Magdalena's relationship with her husband, for example. I feel it's been nicely outlined, but could be fleshed out more. He cares for her, though doesn't see her wholly as a person, not like he sees men - that's pretty straightforward. But I'm really interested in how Magdalena sees him. We get to know that he proposed to her quite a few times before she agreed to marry him. I wonder what happened that made her say yes in the end, I wonder if she ever loved him or at least thought she could. Well, it'd be a nice topic for a fanfic, too.

I don't think she loved him at the time that the show takes place. After her kiss with Daadh she doesn't seem to take Carl Fredrik's feelings into consideration, I'm not sure she even mentions him at all; she thinks about the marriage itself, not about him personally.

Also, their children! I wish there was more of them, and more of Magdalena's relationship with them. When I told you I shipped Magdalena/Daadh/Freund you said you'd pay closer attention to Magdalena's interactions with Freund - I just wanted to point out Freund's relationship with her children. He's their tutor, but there's that one scene when they're chasing one another, even though he's recovering and barely has the strength. THIS. WAS. SUCH. A. CUTE. SCENE. And one that showed us that there was more affection between the kids and Freund than is strictly necessary for tutor/pupils relationship!

(And since I'm talking about kids anyway, I kind of adore how Daadh obviously cares about children a lot, but is absolutely horrible at dealing with them, ahahah.)

I... can go on and on but I scared myself with the length of this comment so far, so maybe I'll just. cease. For now.

heh that's why I decided to not put the eps on the external memory myself, at least not yet, bc I'd just not get to them x)

Yeah, it's obvious he loves her and acts as he thinks he should. I think it's one of the strong points of the show, actually; that we can see that it's not enough to love someone, you have to respect them as well. At one point Daadh tells Magdalena to not get quiet in his presence (or something like this) because he'd love to hear her thoughts, and he looks so sincere when he says it -- and there's the acknowledgment of humanity in both of them here. It was also the moment I started seriously shipping them ;p

Huh! That's interesting, because I didn't see Daadh as particularly awkward :O More like... wanting things to be something else than they are and acting as if it were so. So he comes off as slightly... out of tune, so to speak, but not because of some sort of awkwardness. Like there's a dissonance between the situation he acts for and the situation that actually takes place. To me, he kind of play-acts throughout the show, and when he realizes that he can't do it all the time, that it's not going to work, that the situation that actually is sometimes doesn't allow this play-acting, he wants to leave. I think the finale is an enormous -- maybe even final -- step in his character development, when he truly comes to terms with how the world really looks.

But back to children! There'll be a moment when he tries interrogating a kid and Freund's just looking on and finally clears his throat and helps bc it just doesn't go anywhere. And at one point he questions Magdalena's son and though he's very stressed and the situation is serious, he doesn't know how to go about it either and frightens the kid.

Also re: your ask about me making stuff! I'd LIKE to write fic, but I haven't written anything in so long, and I can't do plotty stuff at ALL, so all I could do would be... fluff... which, well. Idk how it fits. And the setting, it's a problem to me, too.
So, gifsets sound pretty safe, esp that they help me analyze the scenes again and very closely! Like, I started on the gifset with Magdalena. We see her first when she talks to a pregnant girl, which references her interests and what is clearly her passion. It's an amazing way to introduce a character, particularly so a woman!
