Physical therapists can work absolute 。:.゚。miracles。.:゚*. on people (for me, recently with something maybe rather similar in a foot) - especially hepful with avoiding re-injury once it's healed and getting used more again.
/is a hands-obsessed violinist and perpetually-orthopaedically-problematic,generally-from-overuse dancer who's repeatedly found out the hard way that it is very very very stupid to let these things linger around undiagnosed and uncorrected. Especially if there's a chance that you're making it worse by the way you're (over)using it when you could be making it better with stretches and exercises and better alignment and rest.
Yes, it's kind of ..not fun to go through all the business of sorting it out, but... well. It will be worth it. Do try. Soon. Please~!

I'm just so frustrated. I hate feeling like I can't do anything. The doctor was like "You might want to avoid writing" ... I'm a fucking grad student. I can't stop writing. Rrrrgh I don't even know.

Honestly, I'm not good at dealing with this stuff (doctor-'sit out ballet rehearsals; minimise walking', me-'what about jumping off tall buildings') and can't say comforting things like you'll feel fine about everything tomorrow, but... moan all you need, you're entitled if it helps– then try to do a little something nice for yourself that might get your mind off it~
