Goddamnit, Nin, why the hell did you send me this song? It's so deliciously awful and I can't stop listening to it (and loling at it)!

Anyway. This evening was good. I just spent it at the Roastery, leisurely reading Isben's The Pillars of the Community. Mm, I love his plays so much. For a while I'd nearly forgotten that. I'm glad I remembered, ahhh. Anyway, I'm nearly halfway through that one. I could finish it tonight, but... oh, I don't know. Probably leave that for tomorrow.

I'm so pleased with the volume it's in, though. Only $2.50 at the used book store; well worth it. Of course, it's a very old edition - 1959 - but let's be honest, I'm not doing scholarly work here. Besides, I love the smell of old paperbacks, that sort of musty scent. It makes me remember my grandmother's basement and her enormous bookcase full of old books, volumes of Shakespeare and Sophocles and the Brontes. Ahhh, that's where my copy of Cyrano de Bergerac came from too. I used to go down there on hot days - and it would get very hot in Drumheller, as it's a desert climate - and just stay there all afternoon, reading all those delightful old books. Wonderful. Sometimes the dog would come down with me, and we'd stay together. Ahhh, I miss it.

I'm quite tempted to go for another late-night walk. It was so hot today, and that heat is lingering. Perhaps walking around in it would lull me... then again, fresh air tends to wake me up, so maybe not. Ahhh, but it's so nice out tonight. Well, I'll settle for a hot bath, I suppose. I want to beat this insomnia. A hot bath and a good book, right? I have some wonderful stuff from Lush that smells kind of like toffee and brown sugar that I've been meaning to try out.

Anyway, I fully plan to take a very long walk tomorrow, so surely it'll get done at that point. I hope it's a good day tomorrow.

On a side-note, I know I haven't been commenting much recently; I haven't checked my FList much as of late. Going to try to catch up tomorrow, I think. Cheers and much love to y'all, for serious ♥
