My icon is kind of how I feel today.
Something went on that made me realize, once again, that I am way, way, way too sensitive.
Not going to elaborate on what I mean by that, though. It'll just make me look dumb and whingey, and gods know I whine enough. Needless to say, though, it's writing-related. Clearly, I need to grow some balls and not let what people say bother me, especially when the story they're referring to is like, two months old....
Anyway, uh. On a more positive note, it's beautiful out today. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Broadway is bustling. When I was walking, all the buskers were out and about. Guitar-players and fiddle-players, and I think I heard someone playing a harmonica. No African drums today, unfortunately! Needless to say, it's so nice out, and such a good day, and as soon as I cook supper I'm going to go out in it again, because I think doing so will cheer me up a bit. I... ah. Yeah.
I'm trying to get my sleep schedule balanced again, but it's proving very difficult. I think that tonight I will take a hot bath at a reasonable hour. Doing so tends to make me very, very dozy, especially if I read history while in the bath - so, I think that will help.
Tomorrow, if the weather cooperates, I'm going to go out and about and take some photographs. Things are starting to look lovely and green, and the flowers are starting to bloom, and the trees have leaves on them! Excellent, for that. I suppose I'll post some of the pictures I take up here. Is there anything that anybody wants to see photos of?

Date: 2009-05-24 08:15 pm (UTC)<3 <3 I did have a bath last night, and it was wonderful. I felt so relaxed afterward.
I'll take pictures for you! Not sure how it'll all turn out, because it isn't nice outside today, but we will see~
*SQUEEZE*
Date: 2009-05-24 11:47 am (UTC)You. Are a brilliant, brilliant writer. Never doubt it. One thing I regret is that I didn't find you sooner, because DAMN your writing skills are BAMF.
Over here it's raining 8) It's been raining all week, but yesterday the sun peeked through and my hometown celebrated with barbeque's. You could smell the sweet scent of smoke and burnt burgers all over the place.
I'd love to see some of your pictures ♥
Have a nice bath and enjoy the day.

Date: 2009-05-24 08:19 pm (UTC)In this case, it was a piece of writing that I've had... mixed reviews about before, especially regarding the characters being IC... or not. I think part of the problem is that I didn't make the time period clear enough. Sweden and Finland in the 13th-century aren't exactly going to be all lovey-dovey, you know what I mean? But unfortunately I only alluded to the time period. I think if I'd been more specific it would have helped. Oh, well. *sigh*
Fortunately, it's an old fic, and I've improved quite a bit since then.
It doesn't rain much in this area; the prairies are a pretty dry place --- but and I just looked outside and everything is all damp and looks as if it rained. Clearly it's your influence. Clearly. (It's a good thing, though. We need the rain!)

You know so far, the only thing I've heard you whine about, is you being whiny. (That didn't make any sense)
(A bit late for this but oictures would be lovely!)

Date: 2009-05-24 08:21 pm (UTC)I guess you have a point with me whining about being a whiner. ;) I do that a lot. I just try not to whine about my actual problems because I don't want to bother people with them.
