The 16th century: Estonia comes under Sweden’s control; trapped between his reawakened past and his marriage to Sweden, Finland is conflicted

The Livonian War, 1558-1582: Finland’s people suffer from drafts, high taxes, and military abuse, which causes further tension in Sweden’s already-difficult marriage to Finland

The Cudgel War, 1596: Echoing Finland’s anger toward Sweden, Finland’s peasants strike out in a rebellion against Swedish military and nobility; Sweden, meanwhile, confronts Finland regarding their severely strained relationship

10. “Only” - Ra
The Finnish War, 1808-1809: After a long series of conflicts between Sweden and Russia in the 18th century, Sweden is divorced from his partner, and Finland's territory is ceded to Russia
I watch the bugs crawling across my skin

It's so hard to see and all I do is stumble

After coming under Russia’s control, Finland and Estonia are reunited

1917-1920: Finland declares his independence, and Estonia follows shortly after; almost immediately, Finland is faced with a civil war, and Estonia struggles against Russia to maintain autonomy

After the conflicts officially cease, Estonia and Finland try to ease each other; but the task of building and maintaining independence is something each must work out himself, and there is no time for their relationship
