On a lighter note
May. 3rd, 2009 03:04 pmGuys who wear glasses are HOT.
Yes.
Mmmmmglasses.
Even if snogging glasses-wearers while they're wearing their glasses can be kind of awkward. (Yet somehow, even the awkwardness is sexy...)
Mm, and when they push them up - or when they take them off... Ohhhh, lord. Yes. Yes, please.
This post brought to you by the fact that
fyretoppaaa has exploited my glasses fetish in order to get me to write her some fic. Damnit, Fyre, I'm supposed to be taking a break from writing about Eesti, but the thought of scribbling up some picturesque and plotless Sweden/Estonia is just too delicious to resist. :|

(Hahah, thank you, I really needed to smile right now ♥ )
And regarding your last post— mums do come in every flavour, hm? I don’t know her so I’m not sure, but maybe, in a way, she’s trying to protect you from the “savages” that are your friends? I’m sure they (we?) are a pretty dangerous bunch, yes. xD
I don’t know, lately my parents have felt like deities to me (it’s like I’m 3 again!), but I know I wouldn’t be amused if they badmouthed the countries where my friends live. Fortunately it has never been the case.
Also, sorry to hear about the floor, whoops :/ Oh, and I hope you had a good rest today! :D

Date: 2009-05-03 10:13 pm (UTC)Ehhhh, as for my mum... I don't know if she's trying to protect me from the savages. Possible. More likely she's just a raging douchenozzle. :| She's one of those people who acts as if the USSR never dissolved and such, you know? And the only civilized people live on our province. Not even our country, but our province! Oyyy.
"Catalonia? Ugh, all those horrible little Balkan countries are just awful-"
"Er, no, mum, it's in Spain-"
"Spain? Oh the Spanish are SO lazy, why would you want to even talk to them-"
"*sigh*"

Date: 2009-05-04 12:41 am (UTC)Hmm, does your mother have a grudge against other countries? :O
The USSR must have some impact on people still... you know, when I mentioned that summer school thing to my mother, at first she was like "oh yeah go I've heard it's a beautiful city", but then she started going on about how it had been part of the Soviet Union and that they must be very poor etc. xD And tried to convince me to go somewhere else like Germany or Poland (then some days later you told me you thought I was from one of these countries, hee~ I love this kind of mysterious coincidences).
PPFFFFffffffffhahahahah what?! Balkan? Aah well, can't blame her, there are so many of them I mix them up myself sometimes. Lol, I went for a quick shower after reading your comment and when I came back I was still laughing xD
Actually, according to the national stereotype, Catalans are supposed to be hard-working and stubborn (in my case, they forgot about the 'hard-working' part, though ´A`). But I don't mind if she talks bad about Spain
because I do too. Well, okay, not the whole country, just the government and some of the... less bright inhabitants >:(w-wow this got longer than I expected

Date: 2009-05-04 12:52 am (UTC)Yes, Balkans. xD She thought the same about Estonia too (back when I was talking to her about a friend I had in Estonia). I guess she just assumes that any country she hasn't heard of, that ends in -ia, is in the Balkans. xD
I don't think we have a stereotype about Catalans here (because nobody seems to know where it is, mostly). Those who know the location would probably just lump it in with Spain. Bah.
Conclusion: People are rather ridiculous.
