Mar. 21st, 2009 07:03 pmSaa, saa. My house is now clean! Well, not completely, but mostly. Still have to do some things tomorrow morning, just washin' the floor and such. But, it's mostly done! This makes me feel good. I was kind of spazzing in recent weeks, to be honest. It's hard to keep the house nice and clean when it is so cold that you have to stay holed up in your room with the heater going, you know? And when the house is not clean, it makes me feel very uneasy, not to mention ashamed. I was raised with the feeling that if you do not keep your house clean, you are a dishonourable person. It kind of stuck with me. xD
Anyway! Mm, last night I ran into Ole, Jess and Heather at the Roastery, and we had a homework party. Good times! I've missed homework parties. Well, 's not much of a party, exactly. Kat knows how it goes - you grab a coffee, you sit together, and everyone ignores everyone else while the homework gets done. Hah! But, I like it. Having other people around keeps me on track. I feel that I have to do it, and not stop to screw around, because I need to keep up appearances. So, much gets done in these times~
Hmm! My order from Amazon came in yesterday. How awesome! The boxed set of Spiegelman's graphic novel Maus, and also a movie I've been very curious about - The Singing Revolution, which is a documentary about... well... the Singing Revolution. Very exciting! I'm so eager to watch it, but that will probably have to wait until school is over. I've been wanting to write a fic based on that, so perhaps the doc will give me some ideas.
Also, I made a big batch of paluszki dough. It's sitting in the fridge. Perhaps I will bake some this evening~ Perhaps not.
I promised myself that if I finish Through Black Spruce tonight, I'll take the time to write a page of my Estonia story. I only have 100 pages of TBS left to finish. Go! Go! Go!

Date: 2009-03-22 03:56 pm (UTC)Hmm, mm, it might be the same documentary! Then again, this is the only one I've heard of. There might be another - I am completely clueless.
And yes, yes, an Estonia story! 'tis a fill for a certain meme. I've been working on this thing for a month, eesh - it probably would be done by now if not for school. It's turned into a monster of a fanfic, eleven handwritten pages and still nowhere near finished.
I've written other fics about him, mostly posted anonymously - this one is the only one I've posted to the main Hetalia comm, IIRC.
