Mar. 14th, 2009 09:00 amOh fuuuuck I freakin' love The Tea Party. And I love this radio station. They play the best shite, srsly. *grooves*
Anyway.
This weekend is going to be REALLY FUCKING BUSY. Oh my god. I need to read the following by Monday:
-Sterne's Tristram Shandy
-DeFoe's Journal of the Plague Year
-Robinson'sBlood Sports and "Traplines"
-Essay by Hoy on "Traplines"
-Uhhh... probably something else that I'm forgetting.
And I also need to have my marking finished by Monday too. Well, I don't have to but it would be a good idea to have it mostly done. So.
Iiiii.... am gonna die. And not sleep very much this weekend. Apparently.
!!!! I found out that Diana Krall will be playing here in April. I so want to go! But I don't know if I'll actually be able to. Sigh. Going to have to check up on some things.
... Hmm. I should probably turn my phone on today. I had it turned off for about a week because I didn't want to talk to my mum. If I pull that stunt for another week she'll be all spazzy and that could be bad.
This proves that
teruhiko is made of awesome. Yes, yes indeed, that is N.Italy with an octopus on his head. Well, actually, it looks kind of like a cute little Cthulhu now that I think of it. Either way, lol.
Anyway.
Since that short fic was posted, that means right now I only have two in-progress works. This is good. The remaining in-progress works are the Big Long Estonia Fic and the one involving Scofield's poetry. According to my calculations, if I work really really hard today I might be able to take a while before bed to work on fic, maybe get a page or two done. So I'll try for that today.
People need to stop giving me ideas, damnit. D: I have way too many floating around as it is! Somehow I've been convinced to write something involving Poland, America and shenanigans. Oh dear. The thought of those two running around without supervision is kind of frightening. (Meanwhile, Lithuania and Canada rant about how crazy Poland and US are, over tea). I'm not too solid on how this thing will go, but thus far I know it'll be set in Halifax, because if there's any city I know of that's great for running around and gettin' into trouble, it's Halifax.
But before I write that, there are a ton of other things I need/want to write. The following is just what comes to mind at the moment:
-Nordics vs Baltics snowball fight
-Part 2 of "Friday Afternoon in D.C.", because it needs to be done and the fandom needs more Canada/Poland, damnit.
-Some Canada/Ukraine, because there needs to be more of it, damnit
-High school AU; metalhead Nordics, oh my. And goth Canada. And goth-wannabe US. This one will have some Canada/Norway.
-Some Finland/Estonia that is angst-free. Not sure how I'll do it, but it needs to be done.
-Władysław Szpilman meets Poland. I started writing this ages ago but stopped working on it when I was halfway through, for some reason.
... Yeah. Long list. Eesh. People need to stop giving me ideas. :|
I came across a list of things similar to the above the other day, but I can't remember if it was a list of things I wanted to write, or things I wanted to draw. Half of the notations no longer make sense to me anyway. One of them was "Russia - King Lear". I honestly cannot remember what I was going to do with that. A fic full of King Lear references? Or maybe something involving Russia and a crown of weeds? Who knows. It's been years since I last read Lear, anyway, even though it's one of my favourite Shakespearean tragedies.
Anyway.
