yuuagoSo, I was doing some homework at the Roastery this evening, and just couldn't help but feel like I'm wasting my time. Kind of like... Mmm, what good is all this, you know? Am I doing something I love? Well, no. I guess I'm just kind of frustrated. I don't feel, ehhh. Dunno. Don't feel fulfilled, I guess.
But on the other hand, it isn't as if you can love what you're doing all the time. Such is life, right? I need to do this. I need to finish this, so I can go on - and if I didn't go on, well, that'd be dishonourable. So I need to do it.
So I tell myself: Self, just get through this year. Then you can piss around living a "normal life" for a year. Well, there'll be grad apps and such in there too, but mostly, you'll be working, and saving up, and doing your own thing. You can write all you like, you can read a novel per week or even more than that, you can take the time to go out and wander around in the fresh air. For a year, your life will be yours. Just get through this one first.
No doubt, by the time that year is over, surely I'll be aching to go back to school. But first I need to get through this one.
Anyway.
I really need to stop taking naps before supper. I got home at 5 and was absolutely exhausted for some reason - I think it's because I was studying at the school library and it was very warm in there - so I had a lie-down, and wouldn't you know it, I fell asleep and didn't get up until 7. I was kind of freaked out, because I thought it was 7 AM, ha. But anyway, that shit really ain't good for my sleeping schedule, oy... Need to remedy that. *sigh*
