Mwahaha. I coloured something, yay!



So, anotakuami gave me permission to colour a sketch she posted here. Basically I saw it and was all "askdjfkasdf PRETTY must colour!".

So, I did.



Small size, because I'm not quite done fiddling with it. But, it's mostly done. Large version will go up on DA when it's finished for real.

I'm pleased for the most part. Tried out some new techniques (which basically amounted to "layer the way you would with pencil crayons" and "for the love of god, don't use smudge, dumbass"). Been aaaages since I coloured anything on the computer.
Hum. I have no idea how it looks on regular screens, since I'm on a laptop. Should maybe check it at school and see if there's anything major I should adjust....

Very nice! I like how all the colors seem to be just different shades of the same color, if that makes sense. It just seems a very "In Soviet Russia~" thing without falling some predictable greyGREYGREY thing. And what little I know about shading and shadows appreciates whatever you did here. (Haha that sounds so bizarre, but I know you know how very little art knowledge I have so can take that well.)
