Victoria adventures 02
Feb. 14th, 2026 09:48 pmWhoops, forgot to make a post. On day 2 I did the following:
+ Went to the Moss St Farmer's Market. The market ended up not interesting me much; it was somewhat small. But the walk on the way there was great. It's down in the Fairfield area, which has a lot of beautiful houses with unique architecture. It was a very pleasant little excursion. :V
+ Also tried to do some geocaching, but didn't manage to find any of the caches I was looking for.
+ Went for a massage. Tried a place I haven't been to before; it was nice and less expensive than the place I usually go to in Victoria. Will be back again some time.
+ Had a coffee and a delicious doughnut at my favourite local coffee joint. Got a little bit of fic written. Hooray.
+ Tried to find a gift for my sister-in-law, who has a birthday coming up. I wasn't able to find anything for her (she's kind of picky) but I did find some books and cute stationery for myself, and picked up some cartridges for my Kaweco pen while I'm at it.
+ Speaking of fountain pens, I was very surprised by the selection of pens and inks at The Papery. It's probably good that I want to keep my fountain penning simple, because one could really go ham in there.
+ Took in some beautiful paintings at the Gage gallery. There were a lot of works by Katharine Geddes in particular that I really liked.
+ Went to the Victoria at Dusk art installation festival. This is basically an after-dark event with lots of giant glowy installations and some adjacent performance art type stuff to go with it. The art was cool, but I was not a fan of the crowds; I think this event just wasn't for me.
