Misc ☆

+ Ahhh, the world outside has that autumn smell. I resolve to enjoy it as long as we have it! We really only get maybe a month of nice autumn weather, maybe a month and a half, so it won't stay here long. It's getting to be pretty chilly in the mornings. This morning's jog was brisk and it left me wanting to throw on my softest, coziest hoodie afterward.

+ Went Geocaching yesterday. Residential location, simple microcache, but I still completely failed to find it. ...Not going to lie, though, I'm looking forward to when we get enough frost/snow that the trails will be bear-free and forest geocaching will be doable. It'll be neat to try to find some of those. As long as they're not fucking microcaches.

+ I'm taking Wednesday off this week, and I'm so glad. Sometimes it's nice to just... have a day off, as a treat. I'm going to sleep in, work on fic, and make some soup, ohhh yeahhh.

+ Finally posted the beta-read version of my fic for iddyiddybangbang. (The version I posted earlier was unproofed... shhh) Man, I am so glad that people offer beta services in FTH; otherwise it can be such a challenge to find a beta when I need one. Usually my friends are too busy to help, and, well... beta reading from people who're in my fandoms but aren't people I know tends to give mixed results. ANYWAY, I'm glad to have this fic off the table. I drafted it in a crazed rush some time in 2017, and it's nice to not have to look at it in my wip folder any more.

A non-exhaustive list of things I want to do when the pandemic is over:

+ Get a massage (Gdi I really could use one ;;; some days it's all I can think about, haaa.)
+ Get a pedicure
+ BUY SOME NEW CLOTHES goddamn. A lot of my stuff is just worn out, or doesn't fit... I'm definitely going to need some new bluejeans.
+ Geocaching-centric trip to a city I've already travelled to (Victoria? Halifax? ...Ottawa?)
+ Martial arts lessons
+ Get my first aid certification??? (Since the last few time work tried to arrange for us to do it as a group, it didn't work out)
+ Go to the movie theatre?

And probably a million things that I'm not thinking of right now.

Obviously, we're nowhere close to being over with this yet. I understand that. I know I'll have to wait a lot longer. But man, am I ever sick of this, so it's nice to think about what I might do... later.
