(no subject)

Man. I had two days off this weekend, and it felt so good. I did a whole lot of walking on Saturday (two hours, ish) and I'm still kind of exhausted from that, but it's like. A different kind of exhausted than it was before.

I really, really think I need a vacation. I would love to take some time off. But I also don't think that I'll be able to take any time off until... uh... early August, maybe, at the earliest. It sounds like construction season is going to last through July if things keep going as current.

Also. I have so many fic ideas, but nothing for what I should be working on. Hmmm....

On a negative note, my eating disorder has been acting up again and ugh, brain, could you not. I thought I had this shit sorted, but I guess not. [/facepalm] WELL, time to start over again and move forward; not much else I can do right now except take this as a learning experience and remember it for next time.

Like everything else relating to developing healthy and functional habits, working on fixing this is a process. It's not something where you're just, you know, you do a thing once and then you're done. You have to keep working on it, and working on it, and... sigh.

WELL. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

TMA pins!

I ordered some of the Magnus Archives pins that Rusty Quill released a while back, and they arrived today! Wonderful!

Picked out the Spiral* (of course) and the Eye*. There were others I liked a lot too, but... well, you know. One must be selective. ;V

The pictures don't do Spiral's colour-shifting justice. The enamel is green at the edges, shifts to blue, then purple toward the centre. Very cool. As for the Eye, it isn't as bright as Spiral, sure, but it's still very striking - the colour choices really make the eye on it pop. (...Questionable word choice there, but I'm going to keep it. ;p )

When I put in the order, though, I didn't realize how big these fuckers are! And they're hefty metal, the kind of pin that requires two backs to keep it in place. You could put somebody's eye out with one of these things if you threw it with good aim.

I actually whipped out a ruler to measure them, then took a photo with them next to some of my other pins, can badges, and a few coins for comparison:

Anyway! Really happy to finally have these. I've a feeling that they will definitely have to live on one of my messenger bags rather than my denim jacket, though. ;p
