Nov. 22nd, 2020 09:46 pmAttempted making tikka masala this evening. I had to make some substitutions, so the result didn't taste much like tikka masala. The sauce tasted like really good pasta sauce, though, so....

With these alterations for the sauce:
+ 800 ml can of no-salt tomato puree instead of 400 ml can
+ doubled all the other sauce ingredients
+ used milk instead of cream
+ used tumeric instead of coriander
+ then made the sauce according to the instructions
I usually intensely dislike pasta sauce, but this was really good (and I have a lot of it) and I very well might make it again when I run out of the current batch, so... I guess I see some Indian-Italian fusion spaghetti in my future.
