Misc + New Year ☆
Dec. 31st, 2018 03:10 pm☆ [NiF Ex] Wow, works have been revealed for the Nirvana in Fire exchange... 52 pieces in the collection! I'm amazed. It's going to take me ages to get through everything, and I'm delighted about that. Go take a look if that fandom strikes your fancy. As for me, I received a lovely fanart of Mei Changsu and Fei Liu! Voila. <3 <3 <3
☆ [Resolutions] I haven't put together my reading challenge list yet, but I think it'll be the same as last year - 50 books; 10 nonfiction, 10 poetry, 10 FNMI, 10 CanLit, 10 world prose fiction. And last year I had a goal of "at least 10 of these have to be books I already own", and that worked out pretty well, so... let's bump that up to 20 and see what happens! Maybe I'll finally get around to reading With Fire and Sword, that'd sure be a thing. And I could've sworn that I had an edition of Van Gogh's letters kicking around somewhere; that would be really interesting.
☆ [Knitting] Holy shit you guys, that Latvian cowl pattern was an A++ decision. Good going, me. This thing is so fun to knit; I'm delighted. It's been a while since I did anything with colourwork, and I guess I missed it. And Cascade 220 was a good yarn choice for this one, I think. The colours, though... I mean, the deep brown and burnt orange does look nice, but it also looks kind of retro; it reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen carpet, haha. Well, that's not necessarily a bad thing. ;)
☆ Anyway, I hope you all will have a safe and happy new year, and that 2019 will be good to all of us. :)
