Guhhh. You know, you never realize just how much you forget about English grammar until you actually have to explain it to someone. *facepalm* Man. I'm having to re-learn everything I forgot! I mean, I know how to write (sort of) but it's like, I just do it, it's not something I think about. "Oh, need to use a modifier here, and not there, and this word needs an indefinite article, blah blah blah". Nope.
This is good for me, though. It really is. It's slow going, though - I keep having to stop and think to myself, "Uhhhhh, crap, I know that you don't do such-and-such, but I can't remember why". I don't want to say "We don't write it this way in English fiction because we just don't" because lol, huge cop-out. Pffff.
