Jan. 25th, 2009 09:39 pmHummmm. I got a lot done today, which is good, because yesterday I was pretty much useless. After being sick all morning and all of the afternoon, I slept for several hours, then in the late evening did some laundry and pissed around on the internet for a while. Joy. But today, I made up for it a little.
-Cleaned the entire apartment, in all respects (I usually space it out between days, so this is unusual for me)
-Finished up that short fic and posted it
-Almost finished colouring that picture (just needs tweaking...)
-Worked on another fic; this one's dialogue-heavy and full of angst and involves the character interacting with a real person, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I guess I'll just have to finish it and see.
-Read through a large chunk of April Raintree and Gulliver. I hope to finish Gulliver tonight. But we'll see about that.
-Also started reading Louise Halfe's Blue Marrow. I can't stand this poet. Her work always leaves me going "Okay, what the fuck did I just read?".
I was supposed to read Pope's Rape of the Lock for tomorrow, but I didn't. Oh, well. I have it on my computer, but like hell I'm going to read Pope on the screen. I'll grab a copy from the library. It'll make the going easier.
Tomorrow I'm going to do the following:
-Class at 8:30
-Make an appointment to see my psychiatrist about getting put on pills that don't, y'know, make me sick
-Grab a copy of Pope from the library and read it
-Study like hell until 3 PM
-At 3, I have a meeting with one of my students to discuss her essay draft
-And after that I'll go home, make supper, and then moar studying.
I really need to start reading Back On The Rez, because I have to do a seminar paper on it for next week. And sometime this week I should go to the bank to deposit my GST cheque. And I need to call the cable company to get myself a digital box because I still haven't done that yet. *sigh* Ah, well.
Anyway, even though this weekend got off to a really bad start, today was really really good. Very productive. I mean, normally I don't get so much personal stuff done in addition to my schoolwork/cleaning. It's a good feeling.
