Dec. 5th, 2025 10:57 pmWent to a yoga class today. It was warm, with deep stretch focus.
At first I found it really hard to relax. It started at 6PM, and I find that my brain is usually kind of high-strung at that time. And also, I usually don't have the time to do something like this around that time - the only reason it was possible is because I had the afternoon off. But I digress.
I really liked the vibe. It was soft and soothing, low light, with star projections.
Some of the stretches were very intense; we held them for quite a long time, longer than I typically would. The heat helped.
I liked it quite a bit. I don't think I'll be doing this particular class often though - the time doesn't match up well. But obviously there are other classes I can take.
I think the 5-class pass was a good decision. It just sucks that the studio is downtown, aughhh. It's such a pain in the ass to get down there, and then drive back uptown, and then like... at that point I still have to do a proper cardio workout and there just isn't much time left in the day for it.
There is a studio closer to where I live, but I don't like their vibe as much, and also every time I check the schedule to sign up for something, it's completely full. Maybe I'll look into it another time.
