yuuagoToday kind of sucked.
My homework was really hard. If this is what they're throwing at us now, there is a possibility that I will really struggle in this class. However, it's hard to say. It looks like I might need to buy a business calculator, too, but I emailed the prof about it to be sure. The course materials for the previous two classes listed that as well, but I was able to use a regular calculator supplemented with excel for complex formulas. ...We'll see what he says - I'd rather not have to drop fifty bucks on something I will not need in the future if I can avoid it.
The heat is making everything difficult. I've been keeping to my mom's basement, because upstairs is like a furnace. To say nothing of outside.
The sky looked bad this evening. The day was +30C, partly +35C, and that made it bad for the wildfires. The smoke from the fires north of us is turning the sky red. To the south of us, Janvier and Chipewyan Prairie FN are under evacuation alert. Highway 881 is closed.
I saw a post on facebook by someone who was hauling equipment up our way for use by the firefighters. And I just burst into tears. I think I'm a little stressed.
