This weekend was incredibly smoky, so I spent a lot of time inside. Not really how I would've preferred to spend a long weekend, but here we are.

Anyway, I curled up on the couch and watched a bunch of movies. :V Brief thoughts:

Fargo: I had heard nothing about this aside from "good film, murder, Minnesota", so my expectations did not line up with reality. I was expecting a crime thriller, not a black comedy! Once I recalibrated, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit - easy to see why this is a classic.

Everything Everywhere All At Once: I can see why people liked this so much. It's very well-done, well-executed, well-acted. All the universe-jumping fucked with my head a bit, but that's to be expected. And it was very touching! Hell, even the hotdog hands universe - the f/f relationship in that was very touching and sweet.

Confess, Fletch: The cover was illustrated in a very old-fashioned style, so I was expecting a vintage film, pffff. Anyway, I did like this combination whodunit/heist, though not without caveats.

The Blues Brothers: Our safety officer used a clip from this to illustrate "what not to do with the fleet vehicles", lmao. So I decided to give it a shot. Was expecting action/comedy; was not it to be so full of amazing music. Definitely worth a watch.

There are A NUMBER of scenes in Blues Brothers where you wouldn't want to do that to a car, but I'm guessing the chase at the end?

I need to watch Everything Everywhere All At Once SO BADLY and keep not managing to do it. ;______; But it sounds so up my alley!
