On Goodreads, it used to be possible to select whether shelving a book would show up on your friends' feeds or not. I liked that a lot. Now, it looks like it's all or nothing - all the books you add show up on feeds, or none.

I don't mind people seeing some of the things I read, but to be honest, I read a metric fuckton of crap, and I don't want people knowing just how mediocre my taste can get. :V

Is that the new version of Goodreads? I'm still on the old version, so. Something to look forward to.

Yeah, it's in the new layout. Mostly I'm okay with the new version (aside from "ew, this is new and I was used to the old one") but the feed checkbox is one thing I'm definitely going to miss.

Guess I'll just have to get used to showing the junk to everyone. :P
