yuuagoToday was really rough.
My parents were taking a flight today, so getting them prepared for it was kind of stressful. My mom isn't used to flying - I think the last time she flew anywhere was over a decade ago. I was worried somebody would forget something important. And I had to arrange for all their flights, do the booking and everything, and if I got something wrong... yeahhh.
Also. I was supposed to petsit my brother's elderly dog. Usually my parents do it, but with them being away, I was the only one available. But the dog's health took a super sharp decline yesterday and it had to be put down. It's been doing poorly for a while, but that was unexpected. And like... I wasn't looking forward to petsitting because it was kind of inconvenient for me, but this is not what I had in mind.
And there was a lot of stuff to do at work, and another task got added to my plate, and even though it's just a small thing I'm like ugh why, could you NOT.
The rest of the week is going to be super busy too.
C and I had been talking about going to a Pride event later this week; she isn't sure about the childcare situation, so it's not a sure thing yet. ...I kind of hope we won't be able to go. I'm sure that if/when we actually go, it'll be fun, but right now I'm just so exhausted. Plus when we were talking about the tickets she said that I don't need to worry about it, "we will get them", and just now I'm thinking - We? Is she planning to bring her husband to this? Because that's not what I had in mind. It's not a hugely big deal, but... I've only met him once. So the vibe is going to be different.
AND ALSO we have Sunflower Auction closing donations later this week, on top of everything.
And I slept poorly last night and I'm just TIRED.
