We're mouse buddies! I've never heard of PSP before today (I mainly use MediBang), but I'll check it out. It won't be too difficult adjusting, I hope.
About the tablet: if you think it's worth it, go for it. But don't dive straight in--apparently there are cheap ones. But if you don't think there's any need, then don't. Drawing with a mouse (and well!) is a skill many people don't have. It's a good skill. (Frankly, I am terrible.)
