Currently reading: Macbeth by Jo Nesbø. AKA published Shakespeare fanfiction; "Macbeth except it's a ~gritty~ 1970s AU" basically. 50/50 on whether I'll finish this one; I'm finding it pretty mediocre, but I'm already 150 pages in, and at times like this I tend to just keep going. I've been really unimpressed with this author's stuff for a while now; I only picked this one up because my mom wanted to read it. (She changed her tune when I told her what I thought of it, hah).
Also currently reading: Fryderyk Chopin: A Life and Times by Alan Walker. Yes, still not finished. Though admittedly that's because it has been spending a lot of time sitting on my nighttable - it's much too big to bring to work for transit/lunchtime reading. Anyway, I'm finding it very engaging; I feel like the author has a nice balance of discussing the context Chopin was living in, Chopin himself, and his music. Not that I'm in any position to say whether one biography of him is better than the other, of course. But I'm really glad I picked this one up, because I'm enjoying it a lot.
Reading next: Northwood by Maryse Meijer. This one is poetry. I don't know whether I'll find it to my taste, stylistically, but we'll see. I picked this one up because it's very striking; white text on black paper. So, kudos to the person who designed the physical form of it, at least.
