yuuagoHow is it May already? This year is already going too fast.
Two years since the wildfire. I feel mostly okay, I think. Except in certain situations (smelling smoke/hearing emergency vehicle sirens) but other than that - yeah. Mostly okay.
Have been anxious recently because I'm nervous about the driving test, but... well, we'll see how that goes.
Aaahh I keep hearing all this stuff on the radio about upcoming folk music festivals and Iiii want to goooo. Not this year, though; can't manage it. Next year, maybe. Edmonton or Calgary or Canmore or... hell, maybe even Grand Prairie, depending on who is playing (for the right act, it would be worth it). I've never been able to go to something like that, but it does sound like a lot of fun.
This RSI garbage is really cramping my style. THEN AGAIN it means I have been spending more time off of the computer, and also going to bed early, which is all stuff that I should be doing anyway. Hmmm.
On Ao3, occasionally I come across really good fics written by someone who has orphaned the work. I usually comment on everything that I finish reading, but in those cases, I am unsure. Is there a point to it if the author will not receive it? But leaving kudos without comment feels so weird. (Brought to you by brief recent time poking around in Red Cliff fic, in which there is an author who has written some pretty good things and then orphaned all of it.)
I have received word that I will have the house to myself for Victoria Day weekend, since my parents are going out of town. Looking forward to that. <3 It'll be nice to get up early on the Saturday/Sunday mornings and have breakfast outside while listening to the Classical program on CKUA. I've missed doing that.
Random music rec: I came across Miqedem's music at random, and they have a really nice sound. Kind of an alternative rock ish type style with a dash of folksy vibe, with vocals in Hebrew.
