fandom5k is in the noms period now. Perhaps some of you might be interested? This exchange is definitely not for me, but I appreciate that there is one out there for people who like writing longer fic.
☆jukebox_fest will be opening noms on the 20th. This is an exchange for works based on songs/music videos. Sounds fun! I should go through and read last year's fics; I meant to do that but never got around to it. Really love the premise for this exchange.
☆ The YiH giveaway is on hold while Mikael sorts out some RL-related things. In the meantime, I figured out how to use Google Forms, so that's useful. (It wasn't tricky to set up, but I was having some trouble figuring out how to get the share link. Go figure, it was right where one would expect it to be.) I think I will use the form format for future multi-platform giveaways - it really does seem the best method for those cases.
☆ Speaking of YiH, I'm enjoying the current chapter so far. Mostly because I love Sakari, haha, but I'm also really interested in seeing where this is going. Aaand also it reminds me that I really should read Bookwyrms one of these days. (But not today.)
☆ My brain is one big shitpost right now and it's spectacularly hard to write anything coherent. ;p Oh well. But! On the upside, I'm nearly finished drafting a fic I've been working on for over a year. So, that's nice. I'll appreciate when I can shift it to the back of my real-life WIP folder and ignore it for months. Though, maybe I should work on cleaning it up in April. I have so many things that are drafted but not actually typed/revised/finished, because I can't be bothered to do it. It's like I'm only interested in doing the fun part of writing right now. ;p

Date: 2018-03-18 03:40 pm (UTC)With Fandom 5K, I have the opposite problem--I think it might be a fun challenge to write, but I don't necessarily want to have to read 5k+ words of someone's fic when the only guarantee I have of quality is that they signed up to write one of my fandoms. Maybe one year when we're both up to doing lots of exchanges, we can split a signup--I'll do the offering/writing, and you do the requesting/receiving.
