yuuagoSO, lately Mikael has been posting little panels of something other than Year in Hereafter stuff, and initially I was like "Huh, those look pretty Tistow-ish, neat" but didn't think much beyond that.
But now more information has been posted, and I'm laughing my ass off at myself, because how could I not realize what was going on there....
In my defence, I've mostly been looking at these on mobile, so the screen was tiny, which means I didn't recognize a very familiar face, but still...
Since the actual information is behind the Patreon paywall, I don't really want to go into too many details, but... oh man.
щ(◉Д◉щ) This whole thing plays into so many tropes that I love. It's like, if you could plug directly into my id, this new information is one of the thing you'd extract. Or something. What the hell.
And now Elli has posted a few more details and sketches and I just want to roll around on the floor and scream quietly into a pillow.
AND IF I WASN'T IN SUCH A SLUMP I WOULD THROW DOWN SO MANY WORDS OF FANFICTION because holy shit, I could do so much with this. I'm having trouble putting together anything right now, other than the vaguest of ideas, but oh man. Oh maaannn. It solves some things I was having trouble with; I was having difficulty trying to come up with ways to put those two in close proximity to each other - the class difference is one of the things I love (again, this pair is idtastic) but it's something that introduces some barriers/challenges. And of course there would be barriers/challenges with this new bit too, but different kinds. Figuring out how to work with that is half the fun. ...Anyway.

You know, I've felt like garbage for weeks, but when Mikael posted those details yesterday, it was the first time I remember being excited about anything in a while. It feels good to be happy about something.
