Oh my god, I love Kitchen! A dear friend recommended it to me back when I was 15 and had marathoned through most of Haruki Murakami's works and wanted more Japanese authors to read. It was just such a sweet, lovely book, it felt like a warm cup of tea. I didn't know there were movie adaptations! Maybe I should check those out.
Hmmm actually.. I hadn't reread it much over the years, but now I think I will :)
