Reading Wednesday
Dec. 2nd, 2015 07:34 pmCurrently reading: Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett. Not my favourite Discworld novel - in fact, I tend to forget that it exists - but I don't dislike it. I know a little bit more about the early film industry now than I did the first time that I read it, so I'm getting a bit more enjoyment out of it the second time. But it doesn't sparkle the way that some of them do, and it isn't as quotable as some of the others. If I'm to compare it to, say, Pyramids... well, Pyramids is way better. Very underrated book, actually. Go read that one.
I find that people don't talk about this one very often, even to say that they hate it. Maybe it's Just That Blah that people sort of... completely overlook it. I know that I tend to.
Reading next: With the mood I've been in, it will probably either be something random by Dickens, or a crime novel. We will have to see.

Which is too bad, really, because I would have enjoyed seeing the Pyramids characters again. At least, Teppic and Ptraci.
