Yep, it was on purpose. When you backdate entries, they don't show up on the reading list. :) I usually do this with entries that are excessively whiny, just so that people won't have to read it. And I backdate a lot of tarot stuff too. I'm not sure why, but I'm more comfortable backdating public entries than I am with writing private-locked entries.
