I like doing brief readings directly before the beginning of the work week. It gives me a good way to look at myself and think about what kind of things I need to consider for the week that's coming up. Generally, I find that trying to frame myself in terms of large lengths of time (months, years) just stresses me the hell out, so it's better to take things one day at a time, and one week at a time.

Tonight was Knight of Cups, reversed. This is what I'm getting from it: Dude, you need to sort out your priorities. Which is something I already knew, of course, but it's nice to have a reminder. Lately I've been kind of letting things slip - I've been very distractable due to things like fic-writing and new fandom fuzzies. ... Especially the fandom fuzzies. Especially-especially Redtail. Of course.

So, goals for the upcoming week: Let's keep it simple. Prioritize driving practice. This is the #1 thing I need to attend to. Also, work load; I'm leaving for vacation in a couple of weeks, so I need to make sure there isn't any backlog. Time to keep my mind on my tasks, rather than on fandom and fantasy. I have a lot of feelings and I have so many fic ideas but uh, now is not the best time!

Unrelated: It's been a while, but my cards still have that plastic-y smell. Wonder how long that will take to go away. I'd considered wrapping them in a scented ribbon, but something tells me that would just mix the scent rather than mask it completely, and I doubt YSL + eau de Plastic would smell all that great.
