I was looking at some entries from 2006-2008 yesterday, and it really reminded me how I used to update this thing, like, three times a day, with tiny short inane brain-glurge. 'Course, I think Hokuto is the only one who's still around right now who was around back then, so she's the only one who would remember that.

Ah, the days before twitter. Yes.

Though maybe I should start doing that more often - I mean, not three times a day, just... the short inane entries part. Because lately I've been feeling kind of self-conscious about stuff, like, being overly enthusiastic about random shit that most of my friends don't care about. I guess it just makes me feel... spammy.

In other news, the other night, I stayed up until the ass-end of the morning researching Norway during WWII, and it was tons of fun.

Hah, I remember a while ago when I was going through and trying to back-tag my LJ entries and I was just AMAZED at how often I posted! ... and how often the "I make so many pointless entries" could be applied.

Now all the pointless entries end up on Tumblr. Or stay in my head, or go on meme... I do wish I updated my actual journal more often, but it just feels like so much more effort than it used to. :c

I hear you on the "it feels like more effort" front. I think it's because I feel like I should update with more substance than three-sentence nonsense.

But it isn't like journal entries have to be that way! Substance? What substance? So I'm going to try to update with random shit more often. At least in a journal entry, it's easier to keep stuff for later reference than it is on twitter. And of course tumblr is right out.
