yuuagoI've been feeling kind of down about myself, because it feels like I haven't done anything productive this weekend so far. However, this is bullshit. So, I'm going to list all the productive things I can think of. Maybe that will make me stop being an idiot.
-Finished drafting a 26-page fic that I've been working on for months. It'll need a TON of revising, but at least that's done.
-Took my mum out for lunch
-Cleaned out one of my desk drawers and threw out lots of unnecessary junk
-Revamped the Nordic and Baltic indexes for greater functionality and updated them
-Bought a new pair of bluejeans
-Picked up some coffee for the office's espresso machine
-Finally tagged back Derp in our Nor/Ned roleplay thread
-Left a few comments on fest entries (though I will leave more)
-Signed up for Cotton Candy Bingo on DW, though I haven't received my card yet. (I thought I was done with fests... whoops. But at least this one takes place over a long period of time. And somehow, since it isn't single-fandom, I don't feel a responsibility to actually finish)
-Did some research on travelling to Stockholm and Amsterdam
So. It isn't as if I did nothing... even if I do feel like I didn't do anything.
The "research on travelling to Stockholm and Amsterdam" might be surprising, but it isn't really. I do want to go to Stockholm again and hang out with Sea - and when I do, well, it'll be nice to have a few more ideas.
As for Amsterdam... I've decided I want to go there. Preferably next year, though for no particular reason; just because. But I'll be going alone. My parents aren't too thrilled about that part of it. But if I do the research, it should be fine. I know they won't be happy about it regardless - but as far as I'm concerned, they can deal with it. I'm a grown-ass man and I can do what I want. And from what I've read, Amsterdam is a very safe city. So there.
...Of course, it'll be a while to save up for that. But if everything continues well with my job, it should not be a problem at all. I'll probably go in early autumn, so that's plenty of time to save the money and do the research and decide what I want to do there!
I've been kind of quiet on LJ. Just... busy as hell, honestly. That's pretty much all there is to it. I have a ton of fic ideas, but I've been trying really hard to get this one lone finished before I start anything new.
