Hot damn is this egg nog ever delicious.

ANYWAY. As you can see, I arrived in Saskatoon in one piece. The travelling was hella suck; while there were not any delays, I spent roughly nine hours either waiting for planes or flying. Pretty tiring, especially since I was lugging around a super heavy backpack. The flight from Calgary to Saskatoon was packed, probably because of all the backlog in Calgary, but I managed to get in okay. In all, though, I didn't get home until pretty late, and by that time I was exhausted. Ugh. I HATE FLYING.

... Ahaha if I'm this bad going between two provinces, I wonder how I'm going to handle a flight across the Atlantic. :| Oh, me.

In happier news, I came back to find that I'd received cards from [livejournal.com profile] bizzu and [livejournal.com profile] ono_tachibana, yay~ ALSO there was a package notice! But I didn't go to pick it up until this afternoon. It turned out to be the box [livejournal.com profile] tikula sent me.

Oh. My. Gods. Oh gods oh man she is seriously the best ever. So many goodies, candy and fanstuff and a novel and other wonderful little things, ahhhhh~ (And a Pol+Est sketch that I will have to find a frame for tomorrow, ohoho). Best surprise new-year's present ever.

Aside from that happy bit, today has been relatively unremarkable. The house is still a mess, and I'm still unpacking. Went over to the cafe this evening and ran into Ole, and we had a nice little chat, but aside from that, not much. Tomorrow I'm going to be heading to the school to do some preparations; need to pick up my new bus pass, but more importantly, I need to make a doctor's appointment. Yes, my hand is still fucked up. Sigh. So, best get it looked after. Aaaand after that, need to go out and about to pick up some odds and ends~ Among them, a little case for my new notebook laptop. I love it - it's so small and light - but I don't feel comfortable just tossing it in my backpack when I go somewhere. I want at least a sleeve to put it in.

Think I'll also be going out to the cinema tomorrow night. Want to see Princess and the Frog, 'n Tuesdays are slightly less expensive than the rest of the week. I'll probably go to the early show, so that I don't end up walking home at a ridiculous hour of the night. We'll see!

Airports are made of suck. As are long connection times. I had a six hour layover in LAX, and spent it befriending the TSA union people XD; Trans-Atlantic travel isn't really any harder than than intracontinental, actually, except that you have a flight segment twelve or so hours long, which is just...blehhhh. ._. But, most airports have amazing signage, so even if you don't speak a word of any other language you will find your way! :D

Why're Tuesdays less expensive at the theater?

Ugh, flying. The first time I ever flew on a plane was only a year after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and I was an impressionable 9-year-old at the time, so I still have an irrational fear of planes crashing into things when I happen to be in them. In other words, you're not the only one who hates flying, trust me.

"Princess and the Frog". ♥ That movie was adorable and gorgeously animated, please do see it if you can.
