Victoria adventures 04
Feb. 16th, 2026 10:32 pmToday I took the bus to the aquarium in Sidney.
I've never used the transit in Victoria before, but it was pretty easy. I really appreciate the screens on the bus that show what the upcoming stops are and how soon we'll arrive to them! Wow, very high tech.
Sidney is quite nice! I didn't see that much of it, but from first glance the downtown is pretty charming. Originally, I'd intended to do some geocaching too, but it was kind of drizzly today and I was very tired. So. Another time.
As for the aquarium, it was smaller than expected, but it was pretty cool. They had a large variety of local fish, and also smaller exhibits with shrimps and such. It was really fun to watch them up close. And also very cool to look at the flounders - like, I've seen flatfish on video, but it's different to see one in person. I'm really glad I went!
Popped into a secondhand store and managed to find some things for work, so that was nice too.
After all that, I was kind of exhausted, so I just went back to my hotel and read for a while. Which was fine - I'd kind of expected to be doing more, but... you know, that is nice too.
