(no subject)

Went to Miniature World with Tik yesterday. This is one tourist thing that I've never been to; I'd always kind of assumed that it would be small and kid-oriented. It wasn't either! It was HUGE on the inside (how?!) and the dioramas/displays were really impressive. So much detail goes into those tiny dollhouses! Though I think my favourite might be the space station at the very beginning - because it was so well-done and unexpected (and also because Tik's joyful reaction to it was the cutest thing ever).

After that we noodled around, picked up a few things, went for coffee... and then I went to get my nails done, and Tik stayed in our hotel room to finish up some homework. I'm really glad that I made that appointment - my polish was so chipped and my nails were so long and I didn't bring any clippers, ugh. I feel so much better now.

And also I went to Russell Books (...again) because I found out that Jan Zwicky released another poetry collection last year, Sixty-seven Ontological Studies. Of course I had to have it. ...I was also hoping that they would have Thirty-seven Small Songs and Thirteen Silences or Forge, because I was hoping to get one of those for Tik - Zwicky's work is very special to me - buuuut they didn't have those... luckily for me, those two are still in print, so it's a possibility for future consideration.

Anyway, I'm not sure what we have planned for today. Geocaching, maybe? We'll see!!
