Sep. 21st, 2023 04:18 pmYesterday: Went to the Bug Zoo with Tik. I've passed over it quite a few times, thinking it would be very kid-oriented, but it was actually really nice. Very interesting and informative. And we got to hold some bugs. :) I guess I can handle insects better when they're the size of small animals, rather than like, tiny.
After that, we went to Beacon Hill park and chilled out for a while.
Spent the evening relaxing and watching Good Omens s2 together. Anyway, it was really nice.
Today, went to the Butchart Gardens. That was very, very nice. Usually I go to Victoria in November, so the displays aren't quite as fancy. But there was still a lot going on there today.
[edit] AND THEN after supper we walked to the Indigo in Mayfair Mall so that Tik could pick up a special book that they wanted ("Worlds Beyond Time: Scifi Art of the 70s" by Adam Rowe). It's a very niche work and would have cost far too much for them to order it at home due to the shipping. Anyway, we were in luck; they had one copy. <3 Well worth a 4km round trip, hah. :D
