On Goodreads, it used to be possible to select whether shelving a book would show up on your friends' feeds or not. I liked that a lot. Now, it looks like it's all or nothing - all the books you add show up on feeds, or none.

I don't mind people seeing some of the things I read, but to be honest, I read a metric fuckton of crap, and I don't want people knowing just how mediocre my taste can get. :V
