This past week has been absolutely bonkers! But I had today off - apparently it's one of those random stat holidays. I completely forgot about that until someone reminded me on Friday, and I'm certainly not complaining. (Though I might think differently when I open my work inbox tomorrow, ew.)

It was nice to have a bit of a breather. For the most part, the weather was too hot to do much of anything, but I managed to do some reading, and some much-needed cleaning, and work on some fic. Also made some cherry ice cream on Friday night, and it tastes absolutely divine.

Rewatched Promare this afternoon. I was the only one in the house today, so I could do it on the actual television, which was great even though I had to wear my glasses to do it. I wish I'd been able to see this one in cinema, because it benefits so much from being shown on a larger screen. Anyway, time well spent, and now I want to go on another fic binge - but alas, time. Recs welcome if anybody has any, though. (Anything's good as long as it's canon universe or canon-divergent.)

When I give it some thought, I guess I really, really needed this long weekend. Definitely needed some rest and downtime.

Real life is going to continue to be bonkers for the foreseeable future, but I'm going to do my best to take care of myself - and also try to not be a stranger. It's far too easy to fade into the background and lose contact with people when I have so much going on.
