(no subject)

So, when I was working on that Ned/Ro fic for FTH, I ended up having to rewrite it, because my first draft of it totally didn't work. And by rewrite it I mean completely start over from scratch, rather than do a shitload of edits. The finished version has a lot of scenes that weren't in the first draft, and the first version has ones that didn't make it into the final. And even the parts that are the same on the surface read very differently between versions.

Now that I'm reading the first draft over, I... really like it! The character voice, atmosphere, and scene choices were all wrong for the story that I wanted to tell, but what's down on paper is actually pretty good. So, I'm going to rework it into an original story. :D I can never get enough of vampire/victim premise, anyway. 8) I already have a name for the vampire, so I just need a name for the Dutch protagonist and I'll be set to beat it into shape.
