Arctic (2018)
Jul. 9th, 2019 09:37 pmOh boy, watched Arctic this evening. Glad that I finally got around to it.
Mads Mikkelsen + arctic survival scenario? Hell yes. It's as if this film was made for me.
General summary is: A man is stranded in the arctic, waiting to be rescued (but doing all right for himself in the meantime). After an attempt to rescue him fails, he and an injured stranger need to attempt a long and difficult journey to get help.
I was worried the ending would be tragic, but it isn't - it's hopeful.
Wasn't expecting it to hold my attention so well, since it's kind of a quiet film and I've been feeling a bit flaky lately, but. What can I say.
So! Survival drama, stark arctic landscapes, nice cinematography, Mads being scruffy and hypercompetent... yes, good stuff.
